Medicine has made significant advances that have greatly benefited humanity. Numerous discoveries and treatments have improved the lives of millions. However, as in many fields, money and personal ambition have at times compromised the integrity of the medical profession.
Starting in the early 20th century, doctors began to shift from preventive treatments to reactive treatments, influenced by unscrupulous businessmen who saw an opportunity to profit from reactive medicine. The rise of big pharmaceutical companies came at the expense of natural medicine and preventive treatments. By the late 20th and early 21st centuries, the increase in new diseases has become exponential, making pharmaceuticals essential for millions.
What is the problem? The business model of these companies often focuses on creating lifelong customers rather than curing diseases. Conditions like diabetes, depression, and heart disease have treatments but no cures. Patients with these illnesses become dependent on medications for life, facing severe health consequences if they stop taking them. Cancer research, despite billions of dollars in investment, has yet to yield a cure. Treatments often leave survivors dependent on additional medications to manage side effects.
A notable example is skin cancer. Many farmers work long hours in the sun without protection and skin cancer is rare, while individuals who use chemicals for sun protection do. This paradox raises questions about the efficacy and safety of such products. Many treatments cause harmful effects that necessitate more medications, perpetuating a cycle of dependency and profit for pharmaceutical companies.
Our bodies are remarkable systems equipped with natural defenses. Yet, for convenience, we often resort to medication at the first sign of discomfort, weakening our immune system over time. The recent COVID-19 vaccine, which some argue is not a true vaccine, has reportedly weakened immune systems and led to new health issues, benefiting pharmaceutical companies with the creation of new treatments.
It's time to counteract these dehumanizing trends, and we can do so by taking better care of our bodies. This involves eliminating chemicals from our diet, avoiding junk food, exercising, enjoying nature, reducing screen time, and focusing on mental health. Our bodies are capable of self-healing and disease prevention if we nurture them properly.
Let’s resolve to prioritize our health through exercise, nutrition, and mental well-being. By doing so, we set an example for others and resist the control imposed by governments, global corporations and other entities. True freedom lies in not being dependent on these power structures. Freedom is non-negotiable.
